Tour #17. Subways of New York City Tour

This exciting tour is based on Oscar Israelowitz’s hottest book, “Secrets of the New York City Subways.” The two-hour tour will take us to New York City’s glorious subway stations some of which contain stained-glass skylights, brass chandeliers and Guastavino tile arches. Other stations contain ornate terra-cotta art work designed as early as 1904. Some stations contain contemporary sculptural designs of little brass people sitting on benches or decorative mosaic tiles designed in the early 20th century. We conclude our tour with a visit to an inclined elevator near the High Line and Jacob Javits Center at the Hudson Yards.

Tour Fee: $25/person for groups of ten or more.
Single person private tour: $150/hour. Minimum two hours.
