Tour #23. Dutch Homes of Brooklyn
The Dutch and English were the predominant residents in the early days of Brooklyn history. We will explore several exquisite homes which date from the 1600s–1800s. Included on this tour is a special neighborhood, Gravesend, which was populated by British colonists. The mayor of this village was Lady Deborah Moody. There is a cemetery which contains her remains. We will also see a home which has markings from Hessian soldiers who stayed there during the American Revolution. This is a fascinating tour.
Tour Fee: Group tour for congregation or school–$500 per group.
Fee does not include bus charter nor museum entrance.
