Tour #26. Hassidic & Hipster Williamsburg Bus Tour

This is truly a remarkable neighborhood. This neighborhood started as a Reform-German-Jewish community. It later was just a Jewish neighborhood. It finally became Hassidic following World War II. See the mansions of the beer barons and owners of Domino Sugar Refinery along Bedford Avenue. See the oldest synagogue on all of Long Island. See the mansions of the Satmar Rebbes. See the largest Hassidic synagogue, still under construction after 20 years! Then off we go to the hipster section of Williamsburg which is similar to Greenwich Village in Manhattan–quite a contrast. See all the new monster high-rise apartment buildings including a massive renovation of the Domino Sugar Refinery. We will also see Schaefer Landing, site of the old Schaefer Brewery.

Tour Fee: Group tour for congregation or school–$500 per group.
Fee does not include bus charter.
