Tour #28. Jewish Staten Island Bus Tour

Some of oldest congregations are located near the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. We will see Congregation B’nai Jeshurun of Tompkinsville, Agudas Achim Anshei Chesed and Temple Emanu-El (photo above) in Port Richmond. Much of the Jewish community now resides in the area around Willowbrook. We will pass this neighborhood on our way to Richmondtown Restoration. There is a collection of 29 buildings set on 10 acres as a village that recreates the appearance and lifestyle of three centuries of local history. Some of the buildings date from 1695. Nearby is the final resting place of some of the victims of the Triangle Fire of March 25, 1911 in the Mount Richmond Cemetery.

Tour Fee: Group tour for congregation or school–$500 per group.
Fee does not include bus charter nor museum entrance.
