Tour #31. Jewish Newark Bus Tour

A glorious four-hour bus tour of the old Jewish neighborhoods of Newark with stops along Prince Street, site of the old Temple Oheb Shalom, Congregation B’nai Jeshurun on High Street, the old Temple B’nai Abraham, the YMHA, Weequahic High School, homes of Jerry Lewis and Philip Roth, Beth Israel Hospital, Bamberger’s Department Store, and a visit to Newark’s last synagogue, Ahavas Shalom with its gorgeous Ark which dates from 1874, and the New Jersey Jewish Museum. A tour of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center is optional.

Tour Fee: Group tour for congregation or school–$500 per group.
Fee does not include bus charter nor entrance to the NJPAC tour.
