Tour #4.  Jewish Wall Street

Two-hour walking tour of historic Wall Street will take us to the earliest Financial District in the city. The New York Stock Exchange was organized in 1792 when merchants met informally under an old buttonwood tree on the sidewalk outside 68 Wall Street. One of the founders of the New York Stock Exchange was Ephraim Hart, an American soldier and patriot and member of Congregation Shearith Israel. We will see Alexander Hamilton’s grave and St. Paul’s Church which has a very special secret.
